Brian, Christine, & Our Boys

Irving Berlin's "Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep" captures our feelings about family and adoption. We spent years praying for our family. Many nights were spent "counting sheep" rather than consider the blessings we were given. The lyrics “I think about a nursery- if you're worried, can't sleep count blessings instead of sheep” Children have been withheld for a time, but hope cometh of faith. We will find our missing family members.

Gingerbread Houses

One of our newest traditions is building gingerbread houses (or actually decorating them). Smart idea of mine to have C and Baby J in their high chairs. The babies LOVED eating the efforts. Baby J LOVES the graham cracker cookie! C ate some and smashed it. Despite C having trouble speaking he surely asys clearly along with the sign "CANDY".
BAJA last year was very focused on doing the gingerbread house just perfect as the picture (Thanks Carden School for the lesson in NO creativity). THis year BAJA said, "I just want to decorate it the way I want with lots of candy" Yes!! that's the way it should be!! HE and Brian had a lot of fun decorating it. I helped with the windows on the house.
So much fun!
