Brian, Christine, & Our Boys

Irving Berlin's "Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep" captures our feelings about family and adoption. We spent years praying for our family. Many nights were spent "counting sheep" rather than consider the blessings we were given. The lyrics “I think about a nursery- if you're worried, can't sleep count blessings instead of sheep” Children have been withheld for a time, but hope cometh of faith. We will find our missing family members.

BAJAs Kindergarten Holiday Program

Friday December 16, 2011
BAJAs Kindergarten program was held in the music room. Yes this school is amazing. A dedicated music room, art room, drama room etc. It's a school dedicated to fine arts and service. (Hooray!)

Grammy Gramps, cousin Tanner and Ethan came. Little brothers stayed home with Daddy. We weren't sure how being in the music room would be and Baby J has a bad cold.

The school recognized many cultures. BAJA was part of the dragon for Chinese New Year. They sang a song in Chinese, then a song in Hmong. Then as parents we were invited to join in an instrument time as part of the song 12 Days of Christmas. BAJA was part of 12 Drummers Drumming. I'm surprised BAJA wanted to play the part of the dragon for Chinese New Year.
I found myself wishing though for more Christmas music. I love recognizing other cultures but I just wanted more. Thanks goodness he knows what Christmas is all about.
